Reflective eassy
It is the second year in my university life. As I look back on my original goal statement from June of 2009 for applying for associate degree of engineering, I smile as I have achieved my goals which are to be a degree student and learning what I like---programming.
From the first class of associate degree to the classes of computer engineering program, I have learned many usages of software such as Java, ProgeCAT, C/C++ language and different types of technology. My original goal was about learning computer programming and how to build up a game by myself. I remembered that I had done a programming assignment with my team about a hot game which is Tower Defend by using Java language when I was studying in associate degree. We had faced several serious problems like the linkage between monster and the walk, the money countering and building upgrading problem and so on. Finally, we solved these problems and successfully constructed this game under our effort and the help of our instructor. I am pride of myself.
However, in the course of computer engineering in degree level, it covers much more than programming only. It is not only teaching programming skills but also introduces some hardware knowledge and basic Networking principles. I find that it is difficult to realize the linkages between this knowledge and the real life and just accumulated them during studies. Fortunately, my capacity of communication skills is improve as collaborating with others in group works. I hope those knowledge and skills may help in my future working life.
Overall, I need to say that I have learned much in these past years. I think studying is not just reviewing the notes, listening to lectures or doing assignments, learning the ways of study, working in group and thinking are more importance than that. Furthermore, I hope I can well prepare for working life and to be an IT giant in the future.
