Descriptive essay --- Home state
Almost every lunar New Year, my family and I go back to home state to visit my grandparents in Fujian. After a travel, we escaped from modern city and come to a place of relax and original as the house was built around verdant mountains and far away from busy town. The smell is different from city which is a smell of plant and soil that replies us already reach home.
There is a smell of grass and soil and I can also hear some looming sound which coming from birds. There is a group of ducklings swimming slowly in the river just like welcoming us. The dogs are vivaciously chasing each other on the ground while some chicken are sitting on grass to fall asleep. As the brick red house is built in the middle of a mountain, we need to walk for a while. The road does not cover concrete and just some soil and gravel. There are some mango and longan trees planted near to the road and an aromatic smell is spread from their flowers. People are really slow comparing with those in Hong Kong. Some are chatting, some are walking and some are feeding animals.
After stepping over the last step of stair, I am in front of a house --- home of my grandparents. It is quite large, which seemed to grow small as I grew big, while I often have a peace walk in my Grandparents home and that take almost 5 minutes to walk from one side to another side. The house can be assorted in the type of courtyard dwellings and made of red brick. There are 8 rooms in this rectangle and these rooms are surrounding courtyard. It just likes a mouth when you look down from top of it. A vestibule about a basketball court is in front of this house. When I stand on this vestibule, a beautiful picture of nature and origin that constructs with grassy plants, flowing water in river, vivacious animals and peaceful people is come to in mind.
